General FAQs
Rides With Purpose is a purpose-driven rideshare platform that connects riders and drivers while giving back to local communities. Unlike traditional rideshare companies, we prioritize fair driver earnings, transparent rider pricing, and community reinvestment.
We currently operate in select U.S. cities and are expanding rapidly. You can check service availability in your area by downloading the app or visiting the coverage page on our website.
Unlike traditional platforms that take large commissions, Rides With Purpose allows drivers to keep a significantly higher percentage of each fare. Riders benefit from fair, transparent pricing and the assurance that their ride is contributing to positive community impact.
We ensure passenger and driver safety through background checks, vehicle inspections, in-app GPS tracking, real-time ride sharing, and an emergency 911 button within the app.
We are actively expanding. If your city isn’t covered yet, sign up on our website to be notified when we launch near you. Expansion is prioritized in areas with high driver and rider interest.

Rides With Purpose drivers are not required to furnish child safety seats or booster seats. It is the sole responsibility of the rider to provide any required car seat, booster seat, or child restraint device in accordance with applicable state law. Riders traveling with children are encouraged to bring their own car seat. RWP and its drivers assume no liability for the failure to provide or properly install a child restraint device.
Rides With Purpose does not permit unaccompanied minors to use the platform. Any rider under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult who is 18 years of age or older for the entire duration of the trip, from pickup to drop-off. Booking a ride on behalf of an unaccompanied minor is a violation of the RWP Terms of Service.
If a driver arrives at the pickup location and a required car seat is not present for a child passenger, or if a minor is present without a supervising adult 18 years of age or older, the driver has the right to decline the trip. In either case, the rider may be charged the full fare for the trip as a cancellation fee. Repeated violations may result in suspension or permanent deactivation of the rider's account.
Driver FAQ
New drivers receive 50% off the first month's membership fee. To offset the background-check cost, months 2–4 each include a $19 discount automatically. These apply once upon initial activation and renew monthly unless canceled under our Driver Terms of Service.
To become a driver with Rides With Purpose (RWP), you must meet the eligibility and compliance requirements outlined in our Driver Terms of Service. The process includes the following steps:

The background check may include, but is not limited to, criminal history, driving record, and identity verification. To begin your background check, please visit https://app.efetch.com/link/Rideswithpurpose.
Drivers are responsible for covering the cost of their background check at the time of submission. However, as outlined in the Driver Terms of Service, RWP will provide reimbursement after the driver’s membership has been activated and the driver has maintained active status on the platform for the required qualifying period.
Drivers currently insured with USAA will be given 30 days to secure coverage from an RWP-approved carrier if necessary.
Please note: Background check fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated in writing by Rides With Purpose.

Membership fees are automatically recurring unless cancelled, and once activated, you may begin accepting ride requests and earning 100% of your fares and tips.

While RWP drivers pay a monthly membership fee based on their tier level (which includes insurance, safety, and security fees), all fare and tip income belongs entirely to the driver.

All payments for rides and tips are processed securely through Stripe, RWP’s payment processor. Passengers’ valid payment methods are stored on their profile and processed automatically at the end of each ride.
Drivers receive 100% of the fare and any tips, which are deposited directly to their linked bank account through Stripe.
RWP does not withhold or distribute fares on behalf of drivers; instead, all payments flow directly from the passenger to the driver through the Stripe platform.
Membership fees are billed automatically on a recurring basis unless cancelled by the driver prior to renewal.
RWP operates two dedicated apps — one for drivers and one for riders — both available on the Apple App Store and Google Play. Download the Driver App to access your dashboard, accept rides, track earnings, manage documents, and use safety tools. The Rider App is separate and used exclusively for booking rides.
When a trip includes tolls or applicable surcharges, these fees are automatically calculated and added to the passenger’s total fare through the Stripe processing system.
Drivers are reimbursed for all toll-related costs incurred during active rides, and surcharges such as airport or city fees are automatically passed through to the driver.
Any cleaning fees or damage-related charges (if applicable) may be submitted for review by RWP, provided that appropriate evidence (photos, receipts, or estimates) is submitted within the timeframe outlined in the Driver Terms of Service.
